Summary: Do you own a wristwatch? If not, you are not alone. More and more people no longer wear wristwatches because people use their phones or computers to know what time it is. The head of Apple computers, Tim Cook is hoping that the new Apple Watch will change that trend. He recently presented the new Apple Watch to the public. The device is considered a smart watch because it can do a lot more than just tell time.

 

Newscast: Urban Downhill Bike Race in Chile (Intermediate)

Summary: Recently Filip Polc proved that he is the master of the urban downhill race by winning his third Red Bull Valparaiso Cerro Abajo Race in central Chile. Polc navigated the tricky 1 mile urban course that winds down steep stairs, ramps, narrow streets, and man made obstacles such as a jump off of an old school bus. Polc won the race with a time of 2 minutes and 28 seconds. The second place rider, Marcelo Gutierrez of Colombia finished just one second behind the winner.

 

Newscast: Ringling Brothers to Stop Elephant Acts (Advanced)

Summary: Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus has announced that it will eliminate all of its elephant acts by 2018, in response to ongoing criticism from animal welfare activists about animal abuse in circuses. The elephant acts have been a key symbol of the circus for over 100 years.
